Uddiyana Study Centre
Bridging Time with Legacy – A Journey to the Roots of Spirituality and Culture
About Uddiyana Study Centre
Welcome to the Uddiyana Study Centre (USC)
The Uddiyana Study Centre was born from a shared vision during a landmark meeting between Prof. Dr. Ghani-ur-Rahman, Director of the Taxila Institute of Asian Civilizations (TIAC), Quaid-i-Azam University, and Ms. Yali Xuan, Chairperson of the WAKSAW-Uddiyana Archaeological Alliance, USA. The idea for the Centre was further endorsed by Ms. Zainab Adnan Aurangzaib, Princess of the former princely state of Swat, who graciously accepted the role of Chairperson of the USC Advisory Board. Ms. Yali Xuan was appointed Co-Chairperson, while Prof. Dr. Ghani-ur-Rahman assumed the role of Director.
To formalize its establishment, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Chairperson of USC and the Vice Chancellor of Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. The Centre is proudly housed at TIAC.
